Romanian Christmas traditions
On the night of Christmas Eve I usually go to my grandparents' house , which is near where I live.
We spend the night talking, laughing together and I can say my grandmother makes the best food ever , especially sarmale(a traditional food , very popular in my country) and roasted chicken.
Then the next day , on Christmas day , me and my parents go to my other grandparents that live in a rural area , about 100 kilometers from the city I live in.
I love to go there cause the people are more kind and understanding. They are all like a big family , everyone knows everyone and they invite their neighbours to each others' houses.
But the thing I love the most is how they keep their traditions even until now.
Kids go from house to house and sing carols and that gives me a good feeling about everything and I forget about the bad things and just wish to be a better person.
